The National Venturing Officers Association (NVOA) consists of the National Venturing President, the five National Venturing Vice Presidents, and their respective advisors.

National VOA President
Shreemann Patel is a Summit Award recipient and Eagle Scout from Crew 2010 Hinsdale in the Pathway to Adventure Council. He served as the Territory 6 VOA President and serves on the National Induction Experience Committee for the Order of the Arrow. He is currently studying Public Health and Political Science at Johns Hopkins and is passionate about taking a data-driven approach to strengthen Venturing while increasing visibility for Venturers.
He is always happy to meet new Venturers and is excited to work with others within and across programs!

Omar Jimenez
Advisor: Kris Zahbrobsky
Omar is from Southern California in the Western Los Angeles County Council. Currently positioned as the Council Support President serving Venturers in Territory 3. He has previously served in many roles through the Venturing Program and the Order of the Arrow at both Council, Territory, and National levels and in each of those roles has excitedly implemented connection as a means of retention. A recipient of the TVLA, he has focused his efforts on data and using that data to build meaningful impacts on our councils.
Outside of Scouting, he is a Senior at Academy of the Canyons, where he will be graduating with an Associates in Math and Science, as well as an Associates in Philosophy. He hopes to study Business Economics in the Fall at CSUF through the Business Honors Program and is looking forward to growing Venturing across the nation this year!

Joaquin Campos

- Eagle Scout, Pathfinder Award, Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.
- Served on his council’s NYLT staff and Philmont Scout Ranch NAYLE staff.
- Majoring in business administration at Texas A&M University.
- Outside of Scouting, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in trivia nights.

Preston Wade

Preston Wade is from Crew 10 in Frisco, Texas in Circle Ten Council. He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil honor member of Mikanakawa Lodge. He has served as the Council Support President for CST 8 this past year and is very excited for his term. His favorite memories in scouting include serving on NAYLE faculty at Philmont, and forming his crew with members of his OA chapter.
Outside of scouting, Preston enjoys playing chess, practicing piano, and competing on his swim team. During his term, he looks forward to empowering others to promote venturing while growing their own leadership skills while showcasing the wide variety of Venturing activities.
National VOA Vice President of Territory Support for the Western Territories
Sophia Liu

Sophia Liu is a proud member of Crew 10 in Circle Ten Council, headquartered in Texas. Last year, Sophia served as the Council Support Territory 8 Vice President, and has previously contributed both in the Order of the Arrow and on NYLT staff. She is also a Vigil honor member of Mikanakawa Lodge and a founding member of Troop 1260G.
Outside of Scouting, Sophia is a junior at Frisco High School, and can usually be found either drawing or studying. She hopes to see a lot of new faces in the Venturing program, and is looking forward to a fantastic year!
National VOA Vice President of Territory Support for the Eastern Territories
Sam VanNorman

Samuel VanNorman is an active Scouter with the Minsi Trails Council who serves in several leadership roles throughout his council and community. He currently serves as the Council Youth Committee Chairman and President of Venturing Crew 940. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow and is part of Witauchsoman Lodge 44, where he serves as a member of the Lodge Executive Committee (LEC) and is a Brotherhood member.
Samuel was also the 2025-2026 CST-13 Venturing President. He is also widely known for leading the Instructor for Troop Safety program, where many know him as “Safety Sam” for his dedication to youth safety and leadership development. Samuel is a recipient of the Territory Venturing Leadership Award (TVLA) and the Medal of Merit, which he received for helping save a person’s life. He is also an Eagle Scout from Troop 311 and earned the Arrow of Light through Pack 349. Through his involvement in Scouting, Samuel continues to focus on mentoring others, promoting safety, and strengthening youth leadership programs across his council and beyond.
In addition to his Scouting accomplishments, Samuel is currently a senior at Saucon Valley High School and Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. He plans to attend Lackawanna College in the fall, where he will major in Criminal Justice with a minor in Cybersecurity. Samuel hopes to pursue a career in law enforcement following his college education.
