Cub Scouts will recognize behaviors that follow race rules by completing a sorting activity.

If done as a Den:

  • 1 copy Scenario cards

 

If done individually:

  • Copy of scenario cards per Cub Scout
  • 2 trays per Cub Scout
  • Painters tape
  • marker

Before the meeting:

  1. Print copies of the scenario cards based on above supply list
  2. If Cub Scouts are completing this activity individually, cut out the scenario cards and group them, with 1 set for each Cub Scout and adult partner
  3. Label the trays “Race Ready” and “Not Yet!”

 

During the meeting:

  1. Read the scenario card to Cub Scouts.  If the rules are being followed in the scenario, have Cub Scouts say “Race ready!”.  If the rules are not being followed, have Cub Scouts say “Not yet!”
