During the meeting:

  1. Gather Cub Scouts and ask them to sit in circle.
  2. Explain that they are going to be asked to share a time when they did their best. They can only share when they are holding the talking neckerchief.
  3. Pass the talking neckerchief Encourage each Cub Scout, while holding the neckerchief to briefly share the details of when they did their best. If a Cub Scout is shy, they can say “pass” and share later when ready.
  4. After each story, invite the group to raise their hand if they’ve had a similar experience (e.g., “I also did my best at soccer,” “I also tried hard on a test”).
  5. Tell Cub Scouts, “This shows that there are many ways of “Doing Your Best.
