The College of Commissioner Science is an annual program to ensure that a complete program is in place to train every commissioner in the council. In addition to enhancing their knowledge at the monthly cabinet meetings, a commissioner should plan to attend this annual training event. By using nationally developed courses, resource materials, and training recognition this year’s Commissioner College will provide the structure for good commissioner training. It is the local council’s mission to provide fun, sparkle, motivation, and frequent training opportunities so that commissioners will learn good unit service skills.

Participants have the option of selecting an overnight to stay Friday evening for an additional fee.  Those arriving Friday evening should plan to arrive at Pathfinder Lodge after 5:00 PM.  Breakfast will be available on Saturday morning for those staying overnight.  Participants will be lodged either in Pathfinder or one of the Potomac Homes, depending on the number of individuals staying overnight.  PLEASE NOTE: if your registration includes overnight accommodations, select either Participant Overnight or Staff Overnight, and not the regular participant/staff.  If you choose both, it will double charge you as a participant.

For Saturday, Registration/Opening ceremonies will be held in Pathfinder Lodge.  Most class sessions will be held in Pathfinder Lodge.  However, some sessions may be held in one of the Potomac Homes, please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk a short distance.  Limited parking is available at Pathfinder.  These spots are reserved for those who may have difficulty walking.  Additional parking is available along the tree line leading to Pathfinder and near the Potomac Homes used for the event.
