This pack meeting is all about swimming. Swimming is an important skill to keep us safe in and around the water. We will learn some rescue skills and have fun in the water. We need all Cub Scouts to listen to the adults and lifeguards so that we can stay safe and have fun at the same time.
No den break outs.
Set up 3 activity stations, each station is led by an adult who has been given the resources ahead of time to prepare for the activity or activities. Cub Scouts rotate to each station either by den or mulit-rank dens. Each station has an activity for each Cub Scout rank.
Attempt the swim test including how to safely enter and exit the water.
No Fun and Games.
Use the presentation Swimming Awards Ceremony.
This Cubmaster’s Minute is a requirement for the Wolf Footsteps Adventure.
“Hey, Cub Scouts! Our Cubmaster Minute is all about having fun and staying safe in the water. Remember, swimming is a great adventure, but it’s also important to be prepared and follow the rules.
When at the water it is important to always have a buddy. When swimming with Cub Scouts buddy checks help to be sure everyone is safe and together. The other important safety rules for swimming include staying in your ability group, listening to the adults and lifeguards and being sure to enter and exit the water safely.”
Do a sweep of the area to make sure nothing was left behind.
