Before the Ceremony
Leader: Raise the Cub Scout sign and wait for quiet and attention.
Then say, “As we close our meeting today, I’d like to share a final thought with you,” and read Leader Minute.
During the Ceremony
Today, I want to talk about being Kind. It is the sixth point of the Scout Law. A Scout is Kind.
Being kind means thinking about how other people feel and doing things that make them happy or help them out.
It’s as simple as sharing with a friend, saying something nice to someone, or helping when you see someone who needs it. Being kind doesn’t always take big actions—it can be as small as offering a smile or holding the door open for someone.
Although it is nice when someone does something kind for you, it is even more rewarding to do something kind for someone else—without expecting anything in return. When you’re kind, you show people you care. Kindness makes others feel good, and it can make YOU feel good, too! And the best part is, when you’re kind, it’s like spreading happiness all around.
So let’s remember, every day, we can all choose to be kind with our words and actions. Even the little things can make a big difference in someone’s day!
