Cub Scouts will use a paper template to create a model of your home.

  • Printer
  • Paper house template, one per Cub Scout
  • Scissors, one pair per Cub Scout
  • Coloring materials
  • Glue or glue sticks
  • Photos of the Cub Scout’s home for reference

Before the Meeting:

  1. Print paper house templates.
  2. Gather materials.
  3. Remind Cub Scouts to bring a picture of their home before the next meeting.

 

During the meeting:

  1. Explain to Cub Scouts that they’ll make a model of their home using the paper template.
  2. Have Cub Scouts look at the photo of their home or think about them and talk about the parts of their home they want in the model.
  3. Have Cub Scouts draw and color on the paper house template.
  4. Once finished, Cub Scouts will cut out their home and glue it together.
  5. When all Cub Scouts have completed their home, have each Cub Scout share about their home.

 

After the Meeting:

  1. Save the homes to build the den neighborhood in Requirement 5.
