Before the meeting:

Become familiar with the types of natural events that may occur in your area by reviewing the government’s Ready website.
Print a copy of the Be Prepared for Natural Events worksheet, one for each Cub Scout.

During the meeting:

Discuss the types of natural events that may occur:
- Earthquakes
- Mudslides
- Flooding
- Hurricanes
- Tornadoes
Determine which of these natural events may occur in your local area.
Ask Cub Scouts to fill out the Be Prepared for Natural Events worksheet for at least two events. Encourage Cub Scouts to use their Webelos handbook as a resource.
Ask Cub Scouts to discuss and review their plans with their families.
