The Gamehaven Council, Scouting America, eagerly invites candidates to join us as a District Executive – a full-time professional responsible for growing Scouting in a defined service area.
As a District Executive, you will help deliver Scouting’s mission locally by supporting volunteers, engaging community partners, growing membership, and leading fundraising efforts. This role balances relationship-building with clear performance goals and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people while being accountable for measurable outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on youth, families, and communities.
Responsibilities
• Lead efforts to meet District goals related to fundraising, membership recruitment and retention, volunteer training, and program delivery.
• Strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders to support long-term growth and sustainability.
• Manage time and priorities effectively to meet multiple deadlines and goals.
• Communicate confidently with individuals and groups, including volunteers, parents, community leaders, and donors.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and dependable presence in all interactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with community and business leaders to support Scouting programs.
• Promote council camps and activities to increase participation and financial performance.
• Model integrity, professionalism, and collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university – transcripts required.
Qualifications
- A passion for the Scouting America’s mission and principles.
- Must be willing to accept and meet Scouting America’s leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
- Attained 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks.
- Strong marketing, fund-raising and program development background is highly desired.
- Non-profit, fundraising or sales experience is a plus.
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences. Excellent people skills, enthusiastic, punctual, responsible and creative.
- Maintain residence in the geographical territory of the council.
- Provide and maintain an automobile in the performance of your duties.

Benefits
All councils are equal opportunity employers. In addition to offering a competitive salary of $44,000.
