Job Position

Assistant Camp Ranger is a key member of the Lincoln Heritage Council Properties team. The role is responsible for year-round maintenance, health and safety, security, and customer service at Camp Crooked Creek in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The property is over 1,100 acres, including a private lake, a pool, and an on-site septic system.

• Ensure all physical property and equipment are maintained in operational condition and good appearance, and be particularly alert to conditions that could affect health, safety, sanitation, and camp organization.
• Lead part-time staff and assist with landscaping, including mowing, weed-eating, and chainsaw work.
• Complete regular building and equipment inspections to identify essential repairs, routine maintenance, and operational procedures, and to order supplies as approved by the supervisor.
• Maintain electronic records, including documentation of inspections, repairs, and construction.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders who use the property.
• Maintain positive relationships with local officials, adjoining landowners, and neighboring communities.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical college education is preferred. Facilities management experience is preferred.
• Must have the ability to perform a variety of maintenance skills with specialized capability in at least one technical skill.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks.

• Salary: $33,000 – $38,000 based on experience
