Program Assistant - High Adventure Base
Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to join our team at Northern Tier, Scouting America’s oldest National High Adventure program. The Program Assistant will play a vital role in providing specific functional program support to the group, department, or team responsible for serving one or more of the core programs of Scouting America. This includes but not limited to: performing administrative and registration activities; responding to inquiries, tracking, and maintaining databases and records; evaluating processes and procedures and making recommendations on processes and/or systems to improve efficiencies. As part of our team, you will conduct various data analyses and reports regarding one aspect of the program and will have the opportunity to participate in special projects and assignments. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of administrative, editorial, and/or basic research skills. The Program Assistant reports to the Manager of Program Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to specific program management, local council support staff, and various volunteers.
- Maintains and assembles specific information materials and communications in support of the program. Prepares and distributes routine communications, announcements, and materials for specific programs.
- Provides support to other program specialists, administrators, and management regarding the program.
- Responds to program questions and resolves basic problems or concerns regarding the program specifications and activities.
- Assists in producing routine reports, including budget and financial reports, and analysis regarding program operations and status.
- Administers and/or processes registrations for programs, conferences, or events. Provides customer support to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Responds to and follows-up on inquiries. Provides customer support including supports members with registration forms and registration. Produces reports, performs data audits and maintains databases.

Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in performing administrative and registration activities.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
