Position: Distribution Management Supervisor (Inbound)
Position location: Charlotte, North Carolina (NC)
Position Overview

Scouting America is looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, and team-oriented retail distribution environment. The ideal candidate is a qualified Manager with experience in Distribution/Warehouse Operations to lead a team consisting of associates performing picking, packing, and shipping in a distribution center. This person will manage the day-to-day operations to achieve operational success through development, employee engagement, and leadership mentoring. The right candidate is an experienced Supply Chain/Logistics leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Owns the assigned department and is responsible for its success through planning, managing, and maximizing all inventory functions.
  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day inbound/inventory duties of the warehouse employees to ensure proper planning, delegation of work assignments, work prioritization, and labor allocation.
  • Provides direct leadership in the management of KPIs, process improvement, space optimization, and supports timely throughput and inventory processing.
  • Creates and implements productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance.
  • Communicates frequently with leaders across the organization to discuss process improvements and ensure efficiency between departments.
  • Determines and implements short-term and long-term objectives for all inbound processes across all shifts.
  • Participates in recruiting to identify internal and external candidates for promotion and/or hire.
  • Assists in producing staffing plans based on business volume, peak seasons, or sales events.
  • Ensures an atmosphere of safety and respect for associates.
  • Sets clear goals and expectations for direct reports while evaluating staff to provide feedback or corrective action as necessary.
  • Mentors and develops warehouse staff.
  • Leads large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
  • 5+ years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and planning short and long-term initiatives to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Suites
  • The position requires frequent need to use decision-making skills, creativity, mentoring skills, presentation/teaching skills, and use of independent judgment and or independent action.
