Position Overview

Northern Tier, located in Ely, MN, is seeking a dedicated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store to ensure cost-effective and quality Store/Field Operations. As a vital member of our team, the Store Manager will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by ensuring that our store not only meets but exceeds its established sales goals in support of the BSA sales strategy. This position will involve managing staff, optimizing store processes, and enhancing the customer experience while promoting our initiatives.  You will be responsible for the effective management of all store functions, including sales, inventory, marketing, and staff development. The Store Manager will report directly to the Manager of Support Operations and will collaborate closely with them to implement strategic initiatives and enhance operational efficiencies. Responsibilities
  • Schedules, trains, and supervises employees to provide customer service to meet established sales goals.
  • Supervises employees to maintain a clean, organized, and stocked store.
  • Creates and receives orders into the POS system using current policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards cash and inventory using current policies and procedures.
  • Completes all paperwork and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Opens and closes the store using the prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Manages e-commerce sales and systems.
  • Operates the store within budgeted guidelines to meet profit goals.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Preferences:  Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or relevant coursework from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in ­­­­­a retail management role.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.

Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
