Position Overview

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in fostering corporate partnerships that drive meaningful support for our organization? We are seeking a Senior Corporate Engagement Specialist to join the Corporate Partnerships and Engagement team in cultivating revenue generating engagement opportunities and nurturing relationships with corporate partners who can elevate the Scouting experience.

As a key member of the team, the Senior Corporate Engagement Specialist will help identify potential corporate partners aligned with Scouting’s mission and values. This role involves developing and maintaining positive relationships with key corporate stakeholders, creating tailored partnership proposals, and assisting in the negotiation of partnership agreements. Additionally, the Specialist will coordinate engagement events, maintain records, and collaborate with various departments to ensure successful partnership outcomes. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have proven business development experience realizing high six/seven figure revenue goals in the marketing discipline. This position reports to the National Director of Corporate Partnerships and Engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in identifying and researching potential corporate partners aligned with Scouting’s mission and values.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with key corporate stakeholders, including executives, decision-makers, and employees.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Corporate Engagement and the National Alliances’ corporate engagement, integrated media and advertising, project management, and client services specialist teams to create tailored partnership proposals and presentations.
  • Supports the Director of Corporate Engagement in crafting partnership agreements that align with Scouting’s goals and corporate partners’ interests.
  • Assists in negotiating and finalizing partnership agreements, ensuring all terms are mutually beneficial.
  • Coordinates and participates in engagement events, meetings, and presentations to corporate partners.
  • Organizes corporate volunteer opportunities, team-building exercises, and other engagement activities.
  • Keeps corporate partners informed about the impact of their support and the benefits of their partnership with Scouting.
  • Provides regular updates to corporate partners on the progress of projects and initiatives they support.
  • Maintains accurate records of all corporate engagement activities, partnership agreements, and communication.
  • Utilizes CRM tools and databases to track engagement metrics and performance.
  • Collaborates with various departments within the organization to ensure the successful implementation of corporate partnership initiatives.
  • Works closely with the Marketing and Communication team to create materials that highlight corporate partnerships.
  • Assists in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, grants, and sponsorships from corporate partners.
  • Collaborates with internal teams across the organization to develop effective revenue generation strategies.
  • Develops and manages contracts and payment fulfillment processes for partners to ensure timely execution of agreements and payments.
  • Manages CRM processes associated with partner recruitment, relationship management, and sales efforts.
  • Supports the Dir Corporate Engagement and the team in client recruitment and retention efforts and the execution of events by attending meetings and traveling as needed.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Competencies
  • Knowledge of:  Project management; the Scouting movement and its values is a plus.
  • Skill in: Interpersonal and communication; exceptional negotiation and presentation; proficiently using CRM software and Microsoft Suite; attention to detail.
  • Ability to: Build rapport with diverse stakeholders; work independently and as part of a team; strategically think; adapt; multitask to coordinate events; demonstrate ethical and values-driven behavior.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in corporate engagement, partnership development, or related roles.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.
