Supervisor Hospitality Services
Position Overview
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is seeking a Supervisor Hospitality Services whose role is to ensure the smooth operation of food services to join our team. This position manages food service operations, including vendor sourcing, contracting, budgeting, staffing, operational procedures, compliance with applicable codes, and oversees the Dining Hall Supervisor and Event Chef. You will be responsible to plan costs and develop menus from fine culinary experiences through to mass-feeding during the summer Scout season. Duties also include selecting and approving outside suppliers, establish contracts, delivery schedules, negotiate spending and collaborating with local governmental agencies to ensure proper certifications for all kitchens. The Supervisor Hospitality Services ensures food operations customer expectations are met/exceeded and ensures high quality experience for all guests using dining.
Responsibilities
- Sources, hires, and supervises full-time and seasonal staff to deliver high quality experiences in food. Schedules staff meet load demands.
- Develops budgets and operational plans for food services.
- Maintains contractor relationships relating to food. Negotiates contracts and ensures compliance with conditions.
- Identifies maintenance needs across facilities and works with other departments to fix, troubleshoot, and correct deficiencies.
- Collaborates with program and conference staff to develop proposals, menus, and options for events.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Preferences: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in food services or hospitality management.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
